It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Professor Gerald Grace – former Chair and Honorary Fellow of SES. A full obituary will appear here in due course.
Gerald taught Education at Kings College, London, University of Cambridge, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and University of Durham (where he was Head of the School of Education). He founded the Centre for Research and Development in Catholic Education (CRDCE) at the University of London, Institute of Education in 1997, which later moved to St Mary’s University, Twickenham and where he was Director.
The prayers and best wishes of SES are with his family at this sad time.
Professor James Arthur
Chair, The Society for Educational Studies
