The 2020 Anniversary Awards small grants awarded to five grantees in 2019 concluded in 2020. Awards were made to the University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield, University of Cambridge, Northumbria University and the University of Worcester for grantees to undertake small projects related to ‘Educational reform legislation in a changing society’. The 2020 Anniversary Awards mark the sesquicentenary of the Elementary Education Act of 1870 in 2020, as each funded project undertook new research on educational reform legislation.
The reports from the five projects are now available to view online.
Small follow-on grants were provided to three of the projects in 2020 for dissemination and impact work. Whilst much of the dissemination activities were put on pause during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, activities are still on-going, and details about events and conferences will appear online in due course.
