Small Grant update: ‘University Access and Educational Reform in the Aftermath of the Great War’

Posted on by Aidan Thompson

In 2020, a small grant was awarded to Daniel Laqua at Northumbria University and Georgina Brewis at University College London, under the title ‘University Access and Educational Reform in the Aftermath of the Great War’. An additional award was made to allow for follow on dissemination of the research, and having concluded that follow on grant, Aqua has provided the below update.

The planned follow on work was severely disrupted by Covid-19 and related restrictions. However, in spite of this, the below achievements were possible:

  • In autumn 2021, the team published a piece in The Conversation;
  • The project published this brochure that summarises the insights from the original small grant project, as well as editing fresh examples.
  • On 14 September, the team presented the project findings at an event held at University College London.

For further information about the project, please contact the Society for Educational Studies who can direct your queries to the project team.
